Blue Mountain coffee berries take twice as long as other coffee berries to mature.

This prolonged time on the plant makes for the rich, mild flavor once it is processed, and fine gourmet blend after roasted, and brewed. The prolonged maturation process, along with the remoteness of the region, contributes to the very high cost and high value of of Blue Mountain coffee, worldwide. ..

Everything You Knew About Coffee Is Wrong

JamiekaWie Bluu Mountn Kaafi | " uotameniwanjamikawie, bicaasardinariisnatenuf, Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is not a brand, but a recognized growing region on the island between 2000 and 5000 feet elevation in the Blue Mountain region.

Jamaica

Island country, West Indies, located south of Cuba. The third largest island in the Caribbean, it is 146 mi (235 km) long and 35 mi (56 km) wide. Area: 4,244 sq mi (10,991 sq km). Population (2005 est.): 2,736,000. Capital: Kingston. The population consists mostly of descendents of African slaves. Languages: English (official), Jamaican Creole. Religions: Christianity (mainly Protestant;  Roman Catholic); Islam and also Rastafarianism.

Territorially, Jamaica has three major regions: the coastal lowlands, which encircle the island and are heavily cultivated; a limestone plateau, which covers half of the island; and the interior highlands, with forested mountain ranges, including the Blue Mountains.

Toward the eastern end of the beautiful island of Jamaica runs the majestic range of hills known as the Blue Mountains. At 5,500 feet the land is thickly wooded and maintained as a Forest Reserve. Below this line, the terrain, the rainfall pattern, the Blue Mountain mist, and the overall conditions are blessed by God to be perfectly suited for the cultivation of the world's most distinguished and delicious coffee; Jamaica Blue Mountain Coffee. Most Jamaican coffee is grown by small farmers throughout the mountainous region.

Today JAMAICA, a major contributor to world culture and lifestyles is a land with a people of exceptional achievements, an enviable national profile, signature tastes in beverages and cuisine and like its unique .Blue Mountain Coffee is also recognized as one of only eight exclusive producers of fine or flavoured cocoa from the Criollo or Trinitario cacao trees..

Blue Mountain

The Blue Mountains are also world famous for the rich flavored coffee grown there. Introduced to the island in 1728 by the English Governor, who brought seedlings from Martinique, these hills still supply the royal houses of England with the preferred brew by special arrangements.

Between 2000 & 3000 feet up, you will start entering the area where Blue Mountain coffee is grown, also dozens of coffee farms can be found among the tall pine trees that blanket the mountainsides. The once forested, lower slopes of the Blue Mountains are now mostly grasslands but some areas are used for the cultivation of vegetables, spices and the world renowned Blue Mountain coffee.

Although some coffee estates remain, most of the beans are grown on small plots by local farmers. With continuous demand for and a consequent increasing retail price of Jamaican coffee worldwide, the coffee farmers are always seeking better prices for their crop and some opt to roast and sell their own beans. A number of them can be found on the Kingston-Buff Bay road. No beans grown below 2000 feet elevation or outside the Blue Mountain range can be labeled Blue Mountain Coffee

The prolonged maturation process, along with the remoteness of the region, contributes to the very high cost of Blue Mountain coffee .

JamiekaWie coffee experience, after all, has been cradled in well-guarded tradition for generations. Today, JamiekaWie Bluu Mountn Kaafi from JamiekaWie maintains its rank as the world’s most sought-after coffee

Blue Mountain Coffee

Our coffee hails from a place in the world where modern conveniences sit quietly amid generally unspoiled terrain, where simple sounds and the slightest temperature changes are amplified.

Favoured by the ultimate combination of the ideal altitude, mineral-rich soil, gentle cloud cover, mountain shade and ample sunlight, the berry grown in the Blue Mountains takes longer than others to mature. More time, some claim, for its rich flavour and aroma develop. More time, others argue, for its signature character to evolve.

Jamaican coffee has been internationally famous from as far back as the eighteenth century and gained particular prominence in the nineteenth century when many of the natives turned to growing the crops on their own land. Most of those farmers chose the mountains, including the rugged and very steep slopes of the Blue Mountains for planting

The Jamaica Coffee Industry Board was formed in 1950 to oversee and assure quality processing and production techniques and verify growing regions.

The quality controls assure the highest standards of gourmet coffee production and guarantee the richest, most flavorful, low acidity coffee with a hint of sweetness and exquisite bold aroma.

Coffee aficionados agree the JamiekaWie taste is wonderfully exotic a balanced medley of fleeting richness, sweetness and tempered acidity. But it is the lingering experience, the haunting aftertaste that still defies description.

Jamaica Blue Mountain Gourmet Coffee is known as one of the best gourmet coffees in existence. Some have even called it “Black Gold”. Now you can afford it as taste and as a business. 001/+(6591)-31-97-42 | 001/+(6583)-64-32-94 >

To be called Blue Mountain coffee,  beans are required to grow above 2000 feet and normally, the Jamaican coffee plantations grow above 5000 feet.

At altitudes of 5,500 feet up to 7,400 feet the land is wooded and preserved as a Forest Reserve. Below that is where the “magic” happens.

Jamaica Blue Mountain coffee is not a brand, but a recognized growing region on the island between 2000 and 5000 feet elevation in the Blue Mountain region, where it is mostly grown by small farmers. Jamaica Blue Mountain gourmet coffee is special because of the conditions of where it is grown.
